The Dubs gets behind the ‘Shadows of Liberty’ …

The Dubs worked with the production team behind Docfactory’s ‘Shadows of Liberty’  film, to develop the accompanying website and inspire people to ‘take action’.

‘Shadows of Liberty’ is a film that takes an intrepid journey through the darker corridors of the American media landscape, where global media conglomerates exercise extraordinary political, social, and economic power.

April is turning out to be a very exciting month for ‘Shadows of Liberty‘; the team will be participating at the National Conference for Media Reform with a screening and panel discussion and the film will also be making its US debut via LinkTV and KCET.

Design Internships – London Office

The Dubs is looking for design interns to join the creative team for three, four week (travel expenses paid) internships.

The dates we are looking to fill will be updated regularly and are currently as follows:

• 4th March  – 30th March 2013 (intern #1)
• 29th April –  24th May 2013 (intern #2)
• 28th May – 28th June 2013  (intern #3)

To be considered for an interview you will be:

• Fully skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills
• In possession of a portfolio of DIGITAL design work
• Passionate about digital design (web, mobile, tablet, social)
• Genuinely interested in the power of digital as a medium
• Aware of the digital landscape and emerging technology, platforms and ‘new stuff’ making waves
• Brimming with enthusiasm and the ability to hit the ground running
• Happy being tasked with creative research and presentation design on an ad-hoc basis
• At graduate level / seeking Agency experience
• A UK resident and aged 18 or over

Allen & Unwin goes mobile

Allen & Unwin mobileIn 2012, after an analytics review showed that a large proportion of website users were accessing the Allen & Unwin website via smartphones The Dubs developed a dedicated cross platform mobile interface for the online store. This allows users to search, view and securely purchases books via their smartphones.

The mobile site uses the same secure payment functionality as the main website and sources its content from a centralised book database of over 11,000 titles via The Dubs’ content management system.

In addition, a full review of competitor activity in Australia was completed, which found that no other publisher or retailer had a dedicated e-commerce offering for mobile further positioning Allen & Unwin as innovator in their category.

The Dubs @ Vogue Fashion’s Night Out with eftpos Australia

eftpos sponsored Vogue’s ‘Fashion Night Out’ helping fashionistas nationwide to indulge in their must-haves, lust-haves and can’t live withouts.

Supporting the premise of ‘buying the things you love, as long as you’re in control’ eftpos offered five lucky winners a $1,000 wardrobe each just by attending and spending $150 during Vogue’s Fashion Night Out last week in Sydney.

ITV Superstar Judges.

Superstar’ is a brand new nationwide talent search led by Andrew Lloyd Webber looking for a rock superstar to play the title role of Jesus.

The winner’s life-changing prize will be the leading role in the UK’s first ever arena tour of the legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar that will open
at London’s O2 arena on 21 September.

The Dubs is delighted to be the group powering the website via it’s own proprietary Content Management System and wishes ITV the very best of luck with the show.

Superstar starts on Saturday July 7th 2012 on ITV1.
